Terms of Use
FrequencyOS, by The Human Frequency Inc. Last updated September 2026.
These are the terms for using FrequencyOS, on the web and in the iOS and Android apps. By creating an account or using the app you agree to them. If you don’t agree, don’t use FrequencyOS. Our Privacy Policy explains what we store and why; it is part of these terms.
Who we are
FrequencyOS is made by The Human Frequency Inc., in Alberta, Canada. “We” and “us” mean The Human Frequency Inc.; “you” means the person holding the account.
Your account
You need to be an adult where you live to hold an account. One account per person; you sign in with your email address and you are responsible for what happens under it. Children and others without their own account can be added to a household by an adult as managed members; they don’t hold accounts and these terms bind the adult who added them.
Your household
A household is shared. What you put in it — recipes, meal plans, grocery lists, calendar entries, chores, reminders, Talk signals, check-in answers — is visible to the other members of that household, in the ways the app describes. Some things stay yours alone (your own measures, plans and regulation notes) and the app says which. When you invite someone, you are responsible for having the right to share what the household already holds with them. An admin can remove a member; a member can leave at any time.
Plus and Forever
FrequencyOS is free to use. Plus is a subscription for the whole household — everyone in it gets Plus — billed monthly or yearly. Forever is a one-time purchase that gives the household Plus for as long as FrequencyOS exists. Prices are shown in the app before you buy; on iOS and Android the store shows the price in your local currency and that price governs.
On the web, payment is handled by Stripe. In the iOS app it is handled by Apple, and in the Android app by Google, under their terms as well as these. A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period at the price shown when you subscribed, until you cancel. You can cancel at any time: on the web through Manage billing in Settings; on iOS and Android through your store subscription settings. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it does not refund the period you are in. Refunds for store purchases follow Apple’s or Google’s refund policy; for web purchases, contact us. If we change a price, we tell you in advance and the change applies from your next renewal.
Only a household admin can start or manage the household’s plan. If the last member deletes their account, the household and its subscription end with it.
What FrequencyOS is not
FrequencyOS is a household and relationship tool. Tend practices, the Talk button, the Sunday check-in, the Spectrum library and any measures you track are self-guided. They are not medical care, therapy, diagnosis or crisis support, and nothing in the app is advice about your health. If you or someone in your household is in danger, contact your local emergency number.
Your content
What you put into FrequencyOS stays yours. You give us permission to store it, show it to your household, and process it only as far as running the app needs — the Privacy Policy lists the services involved. Don’t put in anything you don’t have the right to share, and don’t use the app to harass, threaten or deceive anyone, to break the law, or to interfere with the service or other people’s accounts. We can suspend or close an account that does.
Availability and changes
We work to keep FrequencyOS available and accurate, and we don’t promise it always will be. We may change or retire features, and we will tell you about changes that matter. We may update these terms; when we do, the date at the top changes and the new terms apply from then on. If you keep using the app after that, you accept them.
Liability
FrequencyOS is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss that comes from relying on the app for anything it is not (see above). Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer under the law where you live, including Alberta’s Consumer Protection Act, and nothing limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited.
Ending things
You can delete your account at any time from You → Settings → Delete account. The Privacy Policy says exactly what is deleted and what a household keeps when one member leaves. We can end your access if you break these terms; if we retire FrequencyOS, we will give notice first, with time to take what is yours out of it.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Disputes go to the courts of Alberta, unless the law where you live gives you the right to something else.
